GARDZEN GROW BAGS Create your own garden anywhere! Previous page Next page 1 Food Safe 2 Root Pruning Bags 3 Excellent Drainage System GARDZEN COMMUNITY CORNER Heirloom or Hybrid Seeds, Which is Better? The answer is ‘depends’: if you want to save seeds and plant them year after year, heirlooms are best. Hybrids can give you plants with the traits you want, but saving seeds is much more unreliable. Heirlooms are wonderful in that they connect us to history and let us explore what previous generations of farmers and gardeners did, while hybrids are exciting and offer something new nearly every year. Which you prefer is up to you—it’s your garden and you get to grow it how you like! Gravel in Plant Containers: Myth and Reality We were taught to put gravel in the bottom of containers to help soil drain, but it doesn't work very well. Adding gravel can potentially make things more difficult. As our fellow gardening educators at Parker County Master Gardener Association demonstrate in this beautiful illustration, adding a layer of gravel can keep water trapped in the soil near the roots of the plants, which causes the roots waterlogged and then root rot. So it's best to avoid using gravel inside of flower pots. How to Add Compost in Your Container Plants? Following the formula you would for adding it to soil—2 inches or 5cm at planting time—gently use your fingers to top dress the compost by stirring it into the the soil in the container. Be careful and avoid disturbing the roots of existing plants, as this can damage them. An Important Tip Giving Right Nutrition to Tomatoes: Tomatoes need more calcium than some plants. Calcium helps prevent blossom-end rot, which as the name implies causes the end of the fruit with the flower on it to decay. When planting your tomatoes either in ground or in a container, some additional calcium in the form of a crushed-up eggshell is a good idea. It’ll help get your plants off to a good start and along with a good fertilizer keep them thriving all season long. How Long Those Grow Bags Can Last? Gardzen grow bags can last at least two years. They can be reused many growing seasons. Do I Need To Cut Holes To Drain Water Out? No, the permeable nature makes the bag can drain excess water out without needing to cut any special holes. Can I bury the bags in the ground? Yes, those grow bags can be buried in the ground. But our suggestion is that you you need to cut the bottom so the roots can stretch out deeply. Why 5 Gallon Fabric Grow Bag Is Smaller Than 5 Gallon Bucket? 5 gallon fabric grow bag is shorter but wider than 5 gallon bucket. Gardzen 5 gallon dimension is 12.6" diameter and 10" height, the volume is 3.14×6.3×6.3×10=1246.266 cubic inches≈5.4 US Gallon COLLOCATIONS Grow Bags Add to Cart Potato Grow Bags Add to Cart Fabric Raised Bed Add to Cart PVC Plant Bed Add to Cart Plant Support Add to Cart Hand Pruner Add to Cart Mini Greenhouse Add to Cart Customer Reviews 4.7 out of 5 stars 4,273 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,448 4.4 out of 5 stars 833 4.4 out of 5 stars 56 3.9 out of 5 stars 180 4.4 out of 5 stars 397 4.3 out of 5 stars 779 Price $30.99$30.99 $19.99$19.99 $25.99$25.99 $21.99$21.99 $24.99$24.99 $7.99$7.99 $33.99$33.99 Length 12.6" 13.8" 2ft 47.2" 13" — 36.2" Width 12.6" 13.8" 4ft 23.5" 13" — 36.2" Height 10" 17.3" 11.8" 16.9" 51" 6.5" 42.5" Capacity 5 Gallon 10 Gallon 58 Gallon 81 Gallon — — 241 Gallon Material Non-woven fabric Non-woven fabric Non-woven fabric Non-woven fabric Wire plastic coated Stainless steel Steel + PVC Features Breathable, air circulation Self-adhesive window to watch Eight divided square container No-till PVC frame planter box Adding stakes to adjust height Cut small branches Create a shelter for plants

These growbags have been very fun to try for a new gardener. So many videos showing expert gardeners using growbags too! They are very durable, been using mine for 2 years now. The handles are strong. You can drag them around to move them for rearranging to a sunnier or shadier spot! Very convenient! I have tried the 1-, 3-, 5-, 7-, & 10-gallon growbag sizes, with success. The 3-gallon size bags are great for growing herbs, cabbage, & flowers, etc. The 5–7-gallon bags are great for tomatoes & cucumbers & mixed flowers! 10 gallon works great for potatoes, rhubarb, beets, etc. They drain well; the appearance is good. I use a small brush to clean the outside of bags mid-way through summer, then again to clean them for the next year. I use indoor potting mix with pearlite & compost inside of the growbags. The moisture inside the bag stays for 1-2 days depending on your soil you use & the heat. In using these growbags, I've been able to create a magical mini garden on my back porch patio. I set some of the smaller ones on top of logs, put small rocks around some, & then I put decorative steaks & solar lights inside of the growbags to add a magical effect, that makes them very lovely. Also, I have used steaks up to 8 feet long to support tomatoes & cucumbers along with tomato cages inside of the same bag for vine & growing support. Tomato cages fit perfectly inside of the 5-, 7-, & 10-gallon bags! Considering all the bags you get with this; it's a value for your money. I've enjoyed using these bags for growing many different things.
